I believe the PentiumPro (formerly P6) only has speed problems running 16
bit applications.  Tests show that, while it runs well with full 32 bit OSs
(OS/2, Unix and NT) and applications, 16 bit OSs and applications, may run
considerably slower than expected.  Win95 apparently runs very poorly on a P6.

This is what I get out of some of the trade magazines that find my way...
